Psychologist · Constellations · EMDR · Online

You can change your life. Always. Even when it hurts and you’re afraid.

Change begins with choosing yourself.

Difficult relationships with a partner, with parents or children, infidelity, life crises, anxiety, lost meaning, the search for yourself.

I help you understand what is happening, find your inner footing, and hold steady through the changes the life you truly want will ask of you.

When do people come to me

Often at a moment when there seems to be no way out

  • Staying in the relationship hurts, but leaving feels impossible.
  • There is love, but also too much resentment, conflict and disappointment.
  • You uncovered your partner’s affair and you don’t know whether to end the relationship or try to save it.
  • You are aware that you depend on another person, but knowing it isn’t enough to set yourself free.
  • Life looks successful from the outside, but inside there is exhaustion, anxiety, or a sense that you’re living someone else’s life.
  • You’ve hit a ceiling in your career and income levels and don’t know where to go next.

Sometimes therapy leads to a decision to leave. Sometimes it leads to staying and rebuilding the relationship differently. But what matters most is this: for the first time, a person stops making decisions out of fear and starts asking a very different question: “What do I want?”

About me

I know how to change myself, and I help others hold steady through change

My name is Elena Dokuchaeva. I’m a psychologist, a family constellations facilitator and an EMDR therapist. I have been working with clients since 2021.

Before that, I spent more than 20 years in large financial businesses: leading teams, making tough calls, and eventually owning a company. I know a life full of responsibility, commitments and the pressure to always be strong. And I know that outward success doesn’t mean everything is fine inside.

Many of my clients are accomplished people who can solve the hardest problems at work and yet feel completely helpless in the face of betrayal, the fear of losing a relationship, loneliness or anxiety.

I deeply understand people who are used to relying only on themselves. People who persist for a long time, keep trying to fix everything, and bear responsibility not only for themselves but for others, until one day they realise they’ve lost themselves along the way.

I can relate to big changes not only as a psychologist. I have changed careers several times. After 45, I moved to another country and largely rebuilt my life from scratch. I had to let go of what was familiar and safe, walk into the unknown when it was frightening, control less, and choose what I truly wanted.

When a client tells me, “I know I can’t go on like this, but I don’t know how to live differently,” those aren’t just words to me. I know how to help.

Why this work matters to me

I love my work because I get to see people’s lives change. A person approaches me feeling lost and unsure what to do, and after some time they regain confidence. They stop accepting what hurts them, they repair the relationship. And if not, they find the courage to leave. They stop being afraid. They choose themselves, not against someone else, but in favour of their own life.

I truly believe that however hard things feel right now, it does not have to be representative of the rest of your life.

My approach

Not one universal method, but a tailored approach to each of the clients

What matters to me is understanding what is happening with you in particular — the experiences and the life behind your difficulties, and why what once helped you cope and survive may today be keeping you from living the way you want to.

I don’t fit the person to the method. I choose the methods to suit your history, what you’ve come with and what you need. Depending on the situation I combine talk therapy, EMDR, systemic constellations, work with the inner parts of the personality, and art therapy.

Not just getting rid of anxiety,

but understanding what caused it initially.

Not just deciding whether to stay or leave,

but understanding why you keep ending up in the same place.

Not just saying “choose yourself”,

but making that choice possible and natural for you.

In simple terms

New to family constellations or EMDR?

Family constellations

A method that helps reveal the hidden causes behind recurring patterns, relationship difficulties and inner conflicts.

When it helps
You know there’s a problem, but not why it keeps repeating or what stops you from changing it. Or you’re facing a choice and want to understand what lies behind each option.
What it looks like
You name a theme in a few words: your partner, your parents, money, work. We explore the situation together, either one-to-one (just you and me) or in a group where other people in your system are represented by participants.
Good to know
One constellation, one main question. Usually 1–1.5 hours.

EMDR therapy

A method for working with traumatic experiences and painful memories. The memory stays, but it no longer carries the same pain, fear or anxiety.

When it helps
Abuse, divorce, infidelity, betrayal, the death of a partner. Fears, phobias, panic attacks. Reactions you understand rationally but can’t change. Addictive behaviour and eating difficulties.
What it looks like
The first session is about getting to know each other and preparing. Then we work with a specific memory at your pace. Sessions take place on Zoom with your camera on, so I can see your reactions.
How many sessions
A single traumatic event usually takes 2–3 sessions. Long-term or complex trauma may need more time.

Not sure which format is right for you? Write to me and we’ll figure out where to start.

Testimonials

What clients say

“A relaxed body, a clear head and peace of mind”

I’m a psychologist myself. For several days I’d felt strong tension in my body, restlessness and no peace. I tried to find the problem, but the psyche hides from us. I turned to Elena. We talked for an hour and a half. I can’t describe the relief I feel. Elena worked some kind of miracle. She immediately understood where the problem was coming from, and we were able to resolve it completely in that time! It’s wonderful! A relaxed body, a clear head and peace of mind.

I really want there to be more happy people in the world, so if you’re struggling, go to Elena. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

“With Elena, a constellation always feels easy, gentle and clear”

For me, spring arrived with a constellation. Elena and the wonderful representatives helped me spread the wings of my self-confidence! I used to be very afraid of the unknown and the incomprehensible: “How does it all work? How can I understand it, touch it, feel it?” Now a constellation is a chance to hear myself, to really hear my feelings, the quiet voice of my intuition, my doubts and fears.

Read in full

An intellectual person can always push intuition into the background and put the thinking head first. A constellation puts everything in its place. Intuition, your inner self, gets a living voice: the voice of a representative. And that’s where it gets really interesting: what you were hiding and avoiding, or weren’t aware of, or couldn’t be aware of, comes to the surface. At first it’s frightening, and then it’s fascinating to get to know yourself. To live with a firm sense of who you are, where you are and how you are. The illusion goes, and confidence takes its place. But it takes time!

It’s like renovating a house. You start the work, at some point you get tired, you have doubts, even regret that you started at all. You could have left everything as it was and gone on living. But when you finally finish, you’re overflowing with pride, and the emotions give life a new taste and lift you up.

I trusted Elena, her experience and her knowledge, and for me a constellation is now a chance to let my inner self say what’s going on and to help myself become happy. A happy woman can make anyone she’s in contact with happy!

With Elena, a constellation always feels easy, gentle and clear. That’s what matters most to me.

“Always an atmosphere of trust”

Elena, for several years now I’ve been doing all kinds of work with you: from personal consultations and constellations to group Zoom sessions with useful information, real-life examples and practical tools that fit well and adapt to each person’s own story.

There’s always an atmosphere of trust, kind participants, and that’s all because you know how to create that kind of space, and your voice is a pleasure of its own. The pace and tone of the session make it possible to take in information in a relaxed state and feel comfortable.

After the webinar I was left with a sense of clarity and the inspiration to change something for the better. Thank you for the atmosphere and the value you create!

FAQ

Questions before you book

What is a family constellation, and how does it work online?

Family constellations come from the systemic-phenomenological approach developed by Bert Hellinger. The method helps reveal what lies behind recurring patterns and inner conflicts in relationships, with parents, with money or at work. Online constellations take place on Zoom, either one-to-one (just you and me) or in a group where representatives stand in for other people in your situation. One constellation, one main question.

Is a constellation a form of therapy?

A constellation can be a standalone piece of work on one specific question, or part of long-term therapy. If you want to go deeper after a constellation, we’ll discuss which format suits you best.

What is EMDR, and how is it different from talk therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a method for working with traumatic experiences. Rather than only talking about the problem, it helps reprocess the memory itself: the memory remains, but it stops carrying the same intensity of pain, fear or anxiety. EMDR is recommended by the World Health Organization for trauma-related conditions.

Can EMDR be done online?

Yes. Sessions take place on Zoom with your camera on, since I need to see your reactions and changes in your state. I recommend booking 1.5 hours for the first session so we have time to get to know each other and prepare.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your request. Sometimes a single clarity session or one constellation is enough. In EMDR, a single traumatic event usually takes 2–3 sessions. Long-term therapy means weekly sessions, and how long it lasts depends on your goals.

How long is a session and how much does it cost?

Sessions last 1 or 1.5 hours and start from €60 per hour. See all fees under Services & fees.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

No, I work online only, via Zoom. That means you can work with me from anywhere in the world.

What language are sessions in?

English or Russian, whichever you prefer.

Do you work with couples and families?

Yes, family therapy is part of my practice. Write to me about your situation and we’ll discuss which format fits.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Everything you share in sessions and in messages stays between us. That’s also why it’s important to be in a private room with no one else present during sessions.

How do I pay, and can I pay from abroad?

Payment is by bank transfer, no later than 24 hours before the session. I hold accounts in several countries, so once you get in touch we’ll choose whichever one is easiest for you to send money to.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Let me know at least 24 hours in advance and we’ll simply move the session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.

I’m in a really bad place right now. What should I do?

If you’re in danger or having thoughts of harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a 24-hour crisis line in your country. Online sessions are not a substitute for emergency help. When you feel a little safer, write to me and we’ll think about how I can help.
